Hayward's serial numbers for all products, with the exception of some cleaners, controls, heat pumps and electronic chlorinators, are 17 digits long and begin with the numbers '21'. Often these numbers appear on product labels with spaces or parentheses. However, they should always be entered into the warranty registration form without any spaces or punctuation.

Serial numbers for these products typically follow a format like this: 1M12345-1234567 (all numbers with the exception of the letter in the second position). For warranty registration purposes, please enter the serial number without the hyphen or any spaces (i.e. 1M123451234567). For products such as Aqua Rite, the serial number needed for registration can be found inside the door of the control panel.
